Effect of a daily supplement of soy protein on body composition and insulin secretion in postmenopausal women – Source: Fertility and Sterility, Dec 2007
A daily supplement of soy protein taken in a shake reduced subcutaneous & total abdominal fat in postmenopausal women - vs. a fat increase in controls given a shake with equivalent calories but containing milk protein (casein). Small Heart Syndrome in Patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome – Source: Clinical Cardiology, July 2008
In this study, small heart syndrome was more prevalent in CFS patients (61%) than the control group (24%). Researchers hypothesize it "may contribute to the development of CFS as a constitutional factor predisposing to fatigue, and may be included in the genesis of CFS."
