Increase in prefrontal cortical volume following cognitive behavioral therapy in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome – Source: Brain, June 28, 2008
Researchers - who previously found reduced grey matter volume in ME/CFS patients vs. controls - report a volume increase in the lateral prefrontal cortex of patients whose cognitive speed improved with CBT.
